Welcome to the Clans of Scotland USA
Robert the Bruce Monument in Bannockburn, Scotland

Robert the Bruce
Bannockburn, Scotland

Celebrating 46 years, the Clans of Scotland was formed in Alexandria, Virginia in 1962 as a way of promoting good fellowship among those people residing in the Washington area, and beyond, who are interested in Scottish culture. We participate in social and cultural/educational programs as well as fundraising and philanthropy projects. Some of our annual activities include the Robert Burns Night Supper, an annual National Tartan Day Banquet in early April, the Old Town Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk, St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Kirkin' O' the Tartans, and a traditional Scottish Christmas Party. We also sponsor and work a Clans of Scotland tent at numerous Maryland and Virginia Scottish games and Celtic festivals. The membership receives our newsletter, The Piper, four times a year, which contains news about the organization, information on upcoming activities, and interesting articles. We meet the second Thursday every other month in the DC area. For specific meeting locations, visit the Online Calendar.
